Instructor
Biography
Louie D. Jiles teaches all
personal lessons and group classes. Mr. Jiles began his martial
arts training in Atlanta in 1973, studying Tracy's Kenpo Karate
at a local studio.
Mr. Jiles instructors were
Darryl Escalante and Frank Wood. Mr. Escalante owned a Tracy's
System of Kenpo Karate franchise in Atlanta. Mr. Escalante
was taught and promoted to Shodan by Al Tracy.
Louie Jiles was recommended
for his Shodan by Mr. Escalante which is on file at Tracy's
International Headquarters (OB-0095).
Mr. Jiles became an instructor
at the Marietta Branch of the Tracy's Kenpo Karate Studio
and participated in seminars taught by Mr. Joe Lewis on Jeet
Kune Do and its applications to tournament competitions and
street fighting.
Mr. Escalante eventually
sold the studio to Mr. Wood and Mr. Jiles became the head
instructor there.
From the mid-seventies to
the early eighties, Mr. Jiles was a competition fighter participating
in both point and full-contact tournaments.
Today Mr. Jiles is not only
teaching but is continuing his training in the Tracy's System
of Kenpo Karate.
